The sea angels featured here were erected by Timothy O’Neill around Derrynane in southwest Kerry in early Summer 2001.
Were it not for Ros Kavanagh’s photographs, they would have disappeared forever. sea angels is Timothy O’Neill’s first piece of public sculpture.

TIMOTHY O'NEILL is a historian, calligrapher and artist. His work is collected and exhibited around the world. As a historian he publishes and lectures widely on Irish history and manuscripts. He is the author of The Irish Hand (1984), a seminal study of scribes and their manu-scripts.
